FLASH IN SAFARI IS BACK for NON-INTEL MACS!
Around a year ago, I reluctantly switched to Firefox after being frustrated at the Safari bug that prevents you from seeing most Flash content. Some Flash content used to display fine, but most didn't on my PPC Mac Dual. It would say I needed the "latest Flash plugin" even though I did have it, and even reinstalled it many times. Upon researching the problem, I realized many other people experienced this too.
So, today, I finally found the answer. First, in Safari, go to Help/Installed Plug Ins and check what Flash version it says you have. It will probably say version 8. Now go to your main Library, (not the User Library under your user name) and open Internet Plug-Ins.
In there, you'll see a "Flash Player Enabler.plugin". Trash that crap! And for good measure, trash the Flash plugin too. Guilty by association! Now, reinstall the latest Flash plugin (version 10), available here.
AND YOU'RE GOLDEN!
You're no longer a Mac traitor like I was. Doesn't it feel good to be back? Chicken soup's on the stove. Help yourself.
